Corvera airport opened in 2019, replacing the old San Javier airport (MJV). If your booking confirmation or an old bookmark still says MJV, it means the same airport Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2 and TUI all fly into Corvera from the UK.

Alhama de Murcia the town many of these resorts take their name from has a population of around 24,000 and sits where the flat Guadalentín valley meets the edge of the Sierra Espuña mountain range. It borders Mazarrón to the south, so a beach day from Condado de Alhama or Camposol is closer than most first time visitors expect.
Sierra Espuña itself is worth the drive if you fancy a change from the coast forest roads, picnic spots, and noticeably cooler air once you’re up in the pines. Cartagena, about half an hour from the airport, has a Roman theatre and an old town you can comfortably walk in an afternoon.
